Tecsa Clor
The unique method of manufacture of Tecsa Clor, a proprietary formulation of chlorine dioxide, confers on the product a number of special properties over and above the normal properties of chlorine dioxide.
These properties are :
- Tecsa Clor has a localised systemic action for up to 7 days at the roots and at the surface of the leaf.
- Tecsa Clor is compatible with a wide range of agricultural chemicals like insecticides, fungicides etc.

Tecsa Frutas
- TECSA FRUTAS is a neutral, liquid detergent, of multiple uses. It is highly concentrated and has great versatility.
- TECSA FRUTAS - the raw materials in its formula have been balanced in such a way that it is bio-degradable, it is not harmful to hands and it does not contain solvents. Its power is also synergised when it is used with hot water and mechanical action.
- TECSA FRUTAS is a highly concentrated anionic product which allows high dilutions and high profitability in consumption. It produces great cleaning results.
- TECSA FRUTAS permits the total humectation of the fruit in order to free superficial tension and to allow the spreading of temperature in the hydro-cooler to be equal and the action of disinfectants to be better. This product does not need rinsing.

Section 1 : Basic Description
Product Name : Tecsa Clor
Active Ingredient : chlorine dioxide.
Section 2 : Physical Properties
Appearance : yellow / green tinted liquid with faint medicinal smell
Boiling Point : 100 degrees Centigrade.
Solubility In Water : complete
PH : >9.0
Section 3 : Fire And Explosive.
Flash Point : none (not flamable).
Extinguishing Media : water unless contra-indicated by other materials involved in the fire.
Special precautions : in case of fire, use respiratory equipment and flush area with plenty of water.
Section 4 : Health Hazard.
Toxicity : ingredients not listed as carcinogens or potential carcinogens.
The product is bio-degradable.
TARGET ORGANS : eyes and respiratory tract
Section 5: First Aid
Skin : Remove contaminated clothing (Contaminated clothing must be laundered before re-use). Immediately flush exposed skin areas with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.
Eyes : Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes while frequently lifting upper and lower eyelids. Consult a physician.
Ingestion : DO NO induce vomiting. Drink large quantities of water and consult a physician.
Inhalation : Move patient to fresh air and monitor for respiratory distress. If a cough or difficulty in breathing develops administer oxygen and consult a physician.
Section 6: Protection Equipment
Ventilation : Good room ventilation is normally adequate for safe use of this product.
Respiratory Protection : NOSHA / MSHA approved air purifying respirators or approved facial respirators are recommended for chlorine dioxide or chlorine / acid vapours.
Eye Protection : Good manufacturing practise recommends the use of chemical safety goggles for all applications involving chemical handling.
Protective Clothing : Good manufacturing practise recommends that rubber, neoprene gloves be worn for all applications involving chemical handling.
Other Protective Measures : Product should be stored and applied in close proximity to a safety shower, chemical eye-wash station or other fresh water source.
Section 6: Spills And Leaks
Based on volume of spill or leak and dependent upon local authority / federal government laws. Low volume
spills may be flushed to a designated and permitted sewer system with large amounts of water. Large volume
spills or leaks may need to be contained and neutralised with 1.2 kg of sodium bisulphite or sodium thiosulphate
per kg of estimated spill or leaked product. Disposal of chemical waste in accordance with local / federal laws.
The vacinity of the spill should be thoroughly flushed with water after the clean up. At no time should the spilled
material be allowed to dry to a crystalline salt.
Section7: Storage / Reactivity
Product Storage : Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated location away from acids, chlorine compounds, organic
solvents, sulphur and sulphite compounds, phosphorous, combustible / flammable materials and direct sunlight.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use and open carefully to prevent spillage. Storage on wooden floors
and pallets is not recommended.
Product Handling : Use product as directed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Keep away from children, animals or unauthorised personnel.
Applications Of Tecsa Clor
Many disease-causing fungi such as Phytophthora, Pythium and Fusarium species are spread through water.
In a recycled irrigation water system in a nursery, they may be transported from diseased plants in run-off
water, into a dam, then irrigated over the entire nursery. Phytophthora spp. are difficult to control once in
a nursery and cause root and collar rot in a wide range of plants.
Tecsa Clor provides control via sanitation and innoculum reduction of these types of fungi in the irrigation
water. Tecsa Clor has the following benefits:-
Research by the Horticultural Research & Development Corporation in Australia on 'Monitoring and Treatment
of Recycled Water for Nursery and Floriculture Production' found chlorine dioxide to be an effective water
disinfectant against all the common plant pathogens tested.
Tecsa® Clor Principal Characteristics:
Contact and systemic action disinfectant on applications directed to the soil, foliage and fruits, wide action
spectrum. Highly effective in the control of fungous, bacterial and viral disease. You can apply without
problems in seeds, roots, foliage and soil treatments. Non residual, non toxic, it does not possess lack
time or residue. Since it does not require toxic agriculture registration. Therefore it does need Chile SAG,
EPA USA registration.
